We can’t thank The Princess of Wales enough for making our wedding day truly magical. From day one, the service was exceptional — attentive, warm, and perfectly tailored to everything we hoped for. The venue itself is a gem. It’s the perfect place to host both a beautiful sit-down dinner and a lively party afterwards. The atmosphere was just right throughout the day and into the evening, and the space felt intimate, vibrant, and full of joy. What made it even more special, though, were the incredible staff. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better team to look after us and our guests. The PoW is right at the heart of our story, and it will continue to hold that place for many years to come. A very special thank you to the most amazing, beautiful, and kind people: Georgie, Ainoa, Ada, Clyde, Jisna, and Ellie — you truly went above and beyond, and we’re so grateful for everything you did. I've attended The Princess of Wales public house twice over the last couple of months and both times were very enjoyable, especially my second visit on Friday 6th June, this was the day that my son married his other half and I gained a very special daughter in law ❤️. Their wedding reception was held at The Princess of Wales. Their sit down was held in the pubs upstairs reception hall, where my daughter in law, with the help of some staff and family members, set out the seating for the bride, groom, family and friends. My daughter in law decorated the tables and chairs provided and the room looked magical. The atmosphere was filled with love and laughter. The food was amazing and the staff couldn't do enough for all who attended and helped make the day run smoothly. The evening venue was held in the pubs in the downstairs reception area, which has its own bar area, two other areas inside the building…..1: for dancing and 1: that had three tables plus chairs so guests could sit if needed….. especially the elder family members. The downstairs reception also has an outside gate type area which helps to keep everyone cool on this warm and sunny day and warm evening. The downstairs reception also has a toilet so you don't have to use the toilets that are at the top of the building. During the evening the pub provided food for the evening guests and also for the day time guests. The evening food was pizza, burgers and some other bits and everything was lovely. My daughter in law was allowed to decorate the downstairs reception area too prior to her special day and it looked amazing. My son's wedding day was one of the best weddings I've attended so far. I would highly recommend this Public House for any kind of occasion. The owners and their staff are very friendly and very helpful. They also want everyone who visits their business to enjoy themselves and to return again and again, plus let friends and family know about this special place. The Princess of Wales public house was the first place that my son & his wife had their first date together…….. this is another reason why the day ended on a high. ????
